Antonio Mallus was born in Quartu Sant’Elena in 1958 where he still lives and works today. He attended the State Art School in Cagliari. After graduating, in 1976, he moved to Florence and attended the Academy of Fine Art “Felice Casorati”, where he graduated in 1980 with an experimental thesis on Piero Manzoni.
In 1985, he won the competition for teaching positions painting and became a tenured professor at the “Carlo Contini” State Art Institute in Oristano.
In 2022 he concluded his teaching career at the “Foiso Fois” State Art School in Cagliari.
Over time he has favored, and continues to practice, oils on canvas with a final treatment of glossy and transparent damar varnish, ecolines, mixed media on paper or white cardboard.
He has held several solo and group exhibitions both nationally and internationally.
