Masoto is a visual designer and illustrator. He collaborates with independent publishers and magazines such as NIEVES, NERO EDIZIONI, MOUSSE MAGAZINE, SCOMOD, and DOMANI. His books are distributed internationally and are available at PRINTED MATTER (New York), YVON LAMBERT (Paris), and PRNT (Seoul). He actively participates in international art fairs—including the Taipei Art Book Fair, the Paris Ass Book Fair, Fumetto Luzern, and the Tokyo Art Book Fair—as a space for discussion and research within the independent publishing scene. Since 2015, he has been active in WWOOF (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms), an experience that has led him to work in various agricultural contexts in Asia—South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, and Malaysia—and Europe. These experiences inform his practice, which, through a lucid and satirical gaze, investigates the contradictions of contemporary existence and the possibilities of a future beyond a human context.
